About me

Hey everyone, my name is Melanie!

I’m a 25 year old from the East Coast of Canada, who’s developed a passion for travel! When I was a kid, we’d often take family road trips and went on a few out of country vacation but my desire or need to travel didn’t really start until after high school. In 2018, I went on a volunteer trip to Ecuador with a group of people I had never met before and I truly think that’s what started my passion for travel. 

So far I’ve been to 22 countries within North America, South America, Caribbean, Europe and Asia. I prefer travelling with others so most of the countries I’ve been to have been with my fiancé as he loves to travel as much as me! 

Now when it comes to travelling, if I’m being quite honest, I’m not the type of person to get up at 5am to see places when nobody is around, so my pictures may not be as perfect as others but I don’t mind! In my opinion, I’d rather show you the reality of travelling and be honest as 90% of people won’t be getting up at 5am everyday while travelling. My goal is to give you a realistic picture of what your travels could look like!

A little about me is that I currently have a 9 to 5 job and plan on keeping it that way. I don’t really have the desire to become a digital nomad honestly and that’s because I find there’s so many positives to travelling around a 9 to 5 but that’s a story for another day. With my blog, I’ll show you that you can travel no matter your lifestyle and provide you with my top travel tips, recommendations, itineraries, travel stories, and more. 🙂
